When I joined Entropia there was no mentoring system. I knew almost no english at all and soon got bored. Without the opportunity of having a mentor or someone to play with I soon quit.

After a year or so I took up playing for a while and joined HU. At the time the requirment to join HU was somewhat lower than it is today; You had to have 500 in one hunting-related skill. I struggled and one day in July 2005 I finally joined HU. I then had another period of inactivity before I finally took up playing in the summer of 2006.

The first time I logged in after my break I'd totally forgot everything about societies and definitely about me being in one. Suddenly blue text appeared in the lower-left corner of my screen. Afterwards it seems that this appearance was what saved my future life. In EU that is.

Even though I enjoy the game itself I don't think I'd have made it this far without the people in HU.
